Congrats to PKC! Ranks #17 in PREA Network!

Andrew Downs, President of Prudential Real Estate Finances, presented some exciting news to PKC President David Cooper and brokers/owners Dan Sweeney and Kathy Copeland, during the March 9 award ceremony at Prudential's Sales Convention, in Austin, Texas. The Gibraltar Award was presented to PKC for the fifth year in a row. PKC is ranked number 17 among the 640 companies in the PREA Network! That's a jump of eight spots from number 25 just last year!

"To say it was a pleasant surprise is very much an understatement," shared Cooper. "The honor and prestige of being in the Top 20 belongs to all of the agents, managers and staff who worked tirelessly to make it happen".

Congratulations to everyone. This is a company win and everyone should all be very proud of the way PKC continues to make strides and reach new heights.

8101 Claims 19th Straight Pinnacle Award!

8101 College Blvd. continued its streak of ranking among the Top 10 offices in the PREA Network, as Kathy Copeland accepted the 2009 Pinnacle award on Tuesday, March 9. With this win, Kathy, her agents and staff carry on what is essentially a tradition that began with their first Pinnacle Award in 1991.

"“I am so proud of the agents in our office. Year-in and year-out they demonstrate that they are the crème de la crème, not only by ranking as one of the Top Ten offices, but by how they give their all for every client, in every transaction,” beamed Copeland.

Is It the Beginning of the End for Housing Crisis?

A smaller percentage of mortgages were delinquent and the rate of those entering the foreclosure process slowed in the fourth quarter of 2009, possible signs that the foreclosure crisis that has gripped many of the nation’s housing markets is finally starting to ease, a trade group has reported.

“We are likely seeing the beginning of the end of the unprecedented wave of mortgage delinquencies and foreclosures that started with the subprime defaults in early 2007,” said Jay Brinkmann, chief economist of the Mortgage Bankers Association, in a written statement. Full story.

The 10 cities that were selected all have relatively healthy housing markets and are buffeted by industries like government, defense, education and technology that can offer work even in a national slump.

Buyers today want to see photos, and lots of them. But if the snapshots you're taking of your listings are unflattering, lack detail, or are simply too boring, you could actually be doing a disservice. There are generally six common difficulties you face when snapping these pics:

  • Photos are too dark
  • Photos look like UFO sightings
  • You're losing detail
  • Photos emphasize flaws in the room

  • Photos are tilted
